Commentating sports – a dream I’ve had since childhood. Since November 2024, I’ve had the privilege of working as a commentator for ZDF Sportstudio, covering the SailGP teams of the world’s fastest sailing league.

Commenting the start of the IMOCAS for The Ocean Race Europe with thousands of people listening in front of  the stage and along the Kiel Fjord – pure adrenaline in 2025.

First steps on the international playground – moderating the final EUROSEA high-level symposium at UNESCO headquarters in Paris with the leaders of Europe’s leading and most important marine institutes on the topic of data from our oceans – as an ambassador for the seas, science communication at its best in a venerable setting.

Since 2021 – moderating the Kiel Week opening ceremony – top-class sailing combined with marine conservation issues and Kiel tradition – a great honor for me right on my doorstep.

Since 2018, I’ve been working as a presenter at the worlds biggest fair in watersports boot Düsseldorf. Windsurfing, wing foiling, surfing, SUP, kitesurfing, and skimboarding – water sports – are my focus, but sustainability not to forget.

Since 2018, I am not only part of the team and presenter, but amassador of CINEMARE International Marine Film Festival team in Kiel. As a television author and ocean enthusiast, I feel every minute of the movies, seeing and understanding the work behind it in a special way. The presentation of the films, the talks, the awards ceremony – it’s a project close to my heart.

Sailing – moderating – sailing – giving it my all and experiencing firsthand what we talk about in the evenings – that’s how my involvement with the biggest meeting oft he shipping industrie on water looks like since 2023 at Schiffahrtsregatta from Schleimünde to Ærø.

My home is northern Germany – that’s how it feels when we celebrate the NDR Festivals with thousands of visitors and top acts.

Higher – faster – further – with them on stage I always feel like a professional athlete myself – my favorite moments as a presenter: award ceremonies and honors of outstanding athletes, such as at the Gala of Schleswig-Holstein State Sports Association since 2021.

Künstliche Intelligenz vs. Real world – was geht im Netz? Seit 2021 dreht sich einmal im Jahr zur Digitalen Woche Kiel alles um’s Arbeiten in neuen Welten – Digitalisierung auch für mich ein spannendes Themenfeld.
